Dash air for type C

So we have an international bluebird short bus. Obviously there is no dash air kit for this. We have 2 coach ACs. They both run but probably either have coolant leaks or no coolant. But we're not dying in the heat. We want dash air. So if we use the components already attached to our bus can we just change out one of the evaporators to some kind of dash air model? Like a retro kit? We're planning to remove one once we get "parked ac" set up. But the other would be very useful as dash ac. If we can swap out the evaporators I wouldn't even be opposed to keeping both and sacrificing the space underneath that the condensers take up. So I can have dog air for my dog.

This is all assuming when we get them tested that they are both still good or just need some leaky hoses fixed.

The evaporator plastic shrouds are bulky and brittle/broken. I know we could replace the shrouds with parts from their manufacturers but they are very large. Has anyone made custom shrouds and moved them to use as dash air?

We have two belt driven compressors so they each have their own.

yeppers... ive done custom air mods in all my busses..

i used one of these in my 1978 Superior.. im running a 2 fan underbody bus condensor (out of view since that bus is a classic)... and then this evaporator..
it rocks... even in a 47 year old bus with minimal insulation and a 392 gas motor it keeps me Nice n cool on hot days cruising..

I like that. I've been considering putting a minisplit up front but what you show there might be a better idea. I have room on the engine to mount a compressor or two. It says 32,000 BTU. Is that legit?
