Did I make the right decision?

I went and looked at a bus yesterday morning with the hopes of taking it home. I had asked about rust and been told there was very little rust. I don’t know what I don’t know but I felt like there was enough rust to pass. There was also a coolant leak as well as an oil pressure issue but I’m most interested in what is normal rust. Here are some pictures. There was what I’d call scale on the frame and when I went to tap it flakes fell off. Thoughts?

From the pix, not something I would want to deal with. If the frame has that much, what is hiding in crevices and such?

Just hard being patient when I really want a bus. I let my logic win out though.

Patience will get you what you want in the end....glad you listened to your logic.

Was this the bus o1marc said to "jump on right now"? If so, maybe you could buy it and flip it to him.
