Hi there. So I found a 1998 Thomas International short bus in Charlotte. The seller has the title, and I looked up the mechanical info online but there was nothing but the guy getting the title for it in 2016. I’ve only spoken to the seller through texts, and he keeps swearing to me the bus runs and it’s in good condition. I’m not just taking his word for it. I need proof it’s not a lemon. So I’ve been trying to contact a diesel mechanic who can go check it out for me.
I’m traveling to Asheville this weekend, which is why a trip to Charlotte was no big deal if the bus is working and everything’s well and good. I’m trying to get it looked at Monday morning before I would drive there Tuesday. If anyone knows of a mechanic in the Charlotte area they trust please let me know! All the mechanics I’ve contacted have wanted me to give them my credit card info over the phone for payment, which is a no.
