Disconnecting computers before welding?

Is it really necessary to disconnect the computers before welding on the bus?

If so, should I simply disconnect the battery cables or pull fuses or is there more to it than that?

Thanks.

S.

Absolutely! If you have ANY computers on board (including tranny), they can get fried when welding is taking place anywhere on the bus. Best bet is to disconnect the battery. Not saying it will always happen...but, if it does...it will get REAL expensive fast.

Definitely don't want to risk damaging my confusers. Would it be a good idea to pull the positive battery cable and ground it?

Unless I had a full disconnect switch, I'd just remove them both and leave'em hanging. But then... I am a total electrical dunce.
