Driver's seat shoulder & lap strap...

Not hardly. In '46 you were expected to just maintain a manly grip on the wheel during crashes.

I replaced the original pilot's seat with an all mechanical unit from a Toyota but since there is no "post" in my bus...I didn't take the original 3 point harness. I do have a lap belt, but would prefer to have the shoulder strap as well...if I can figure out a place to attach it.

Had a friend who restored an early Mustang convertible......he mounted the shoulder belts to the floor behind the seats, and brought them up-and-over. Made some nice little 'guides' to hold them on top of the seats. He had low-back buckets, though......you might not be able to find a shoulder belt long enough to fit up and over a high back.
