DT466 Fuel Issues - Any Advice?

I have also heard that on tanks with vent tubes, you can use the vent to pressurize as well. Same warning about over-pressurizing the system applies.

I have seen fuel caps with Schrader valves added specifically for this purpose. A word of warning, though. Do *NOT* pressurize more than just a few PSI.

Understand the pressure deal, doesn't need to be more than 5-10psi. to push fuel up the line to prime.:Thanx:

I have seen people apply the exhaust from a shop vac hose to the filler to pressurize. I'm sure the pressure would be low in that case but I can't say I have tried it myself except on my lawn tractor which drains back to the tank every winter. It works quickly to get the gas back up to the fuel pump and carb. I have even seen people doing that by blowing into a filler with their mouth, but I can't inflate even a balloon without getting a red face, so I am not going to try that method.
