Looking for someone with expertise to help me fix my rear lights on bus. Willing to pay, replacing originals lights with LED lights. I'm having issues getting them working.

2006 International CE 300
Originall bought Partsam LED lights, couldn't get them working. More wires than original, they said I would need a relay but couldn't tell me which relay to buy.

So i bought some new LED lights from Midwest bus with matching wire connections. I was still having issues so started tracing and realized early in the demo process I removed the external light status box. I tried reconnecting the wires for the lights that are still active (flashers removed) and still now luck.

Willing to pay someone to help me get the lights working and this box removed (looped wiring properly). Please hit me up if you think you can help.

Right now the bus is in Trevose PA but need to move it to Benton, PA by December 1st would like to have lights working and drive it versus getting it moved.

LED lights are polarized, so the hot wire has to be connected to the hot side of the circuit; you can check it with a meter or hook them up and reverse the wires if it doesn't work the first time.

You'll need to replace your flasher relays with an LED-compatible one. Most auto parts will carry them these days, but you'll need to know which relay you have to find a correct replacement.

the partsam lights extra wires are for low medium and high and should have came with instructions stating that.
have installed them on 2 buses now and have not had to have anything extra.
no relay or anything.
was plug and play for me on an 86 and a 2004?

no idea which lights you got but there are several types sold.. the LED's im most familiar with get their ground from the bus body.. 7 inch tail lights often have 3 wires.. red black and white.. on the most common, black will be low (tail light), red will be high (brake light ) abd white will be ground.. most busses dont have a ground running to the light.. the exception seemingly bluebird who runs an actual ground wire on some of their busses (but not all)..

I put as ring terminal on the white wire , make sure a little bare metal exists around a screw hole, put the screw in the light and put the ring terminal over the screw.. on the gasket.. screw it down and then that is the ground... (the ring terminasl goes against the bus body.. then the gasket then the light..

The D in LED stands for Diode. A diode is a one way directional pathway for electricity. As a guy mentioned before you probably had installed the negative side on the positive side. Simply reinstall them by inserting them 180 degrees from where you had them last. Also ensure they are all in the same direction because if they are in a loop with multiple lights on a single line they ALL have to be oriented correctly or one of the diodes will stop the flow of electricity because it was installed backwards. Good Luck!
