It seems like posts over a certain age are unable to be edited. For example, I'm unable to edit the first post of my conversion thread, where I've been keeping a table of contents. Am I missing something, or is that just the way it is?

Yes - old posts are locked mostly to prevent accidental deletions but can be unlocked on request. You should find that post is editable now.

I just noticed this, too. Is this a recent change? Until today, I was able to go back and edit the first post in my own build thread with updated costs of the conversion (although, to be honest, I haven't updated that post in a while). I was also going to try to edit a post from yesterday after learning how to get a YouTube video player to embed in my post, but the post is already locked. Is there a way to give a user access to all their posts forever? I hate when I notice a typo in an old post and feel the need to change it immediately. ;)

But... it takes me hours to sober up until I can be trusted to edit what I wrote... :D

If you need t edit something after the edit window has closed please ping me or a moderator and we can help you out :)
