Hello, all. I'm retired Marine/Army hybrid. 48 years young and my wife is recently diagnosed with MS.

I know I'm nutty, but I grew up camping in a school bus on the farm and I never got over that, so I'm looking for an antique shorty - 40's or 50's, probably a Ford, but a five window or so to restore and convert to an RV.

I LOVE the curves and body styles on the older busses and would like something kooky, cool and different.

You won't see me posting much. I'll be mostly reading, but I didn't want anyone to think I'm stuck up.

I will say I am glad I'm not the only person in the world how has think affliction.

Welcome. I am in Central FL and there are more than a few of us around. I restored a 53 Chevy Sedan Delivery along with several other vehicles. Now that I and my wife are in our mid 50s, restoration is out and minimalism is in. She survived stage-4 cancer and we look at life differently now. Kids and grandkids, near and far. We are making mistakes as we go on this project so take no advice from me. I charish what I get from those in the know like Lorna but sometimes get anxious and take a step without enough research. That is costly.
