Pal, you've obviously run your life differently than I have to be able to do a 'no budget needed' build. I'm very happy for you and wish you the best in your project.

this sounds like a BadAss build!! I say Keep the CB-radio they are just plain fun!!

canty wait to see you get started and what you come up with... I love watching some of the higher budget builds.. I believe in spending and building what you truly WANT.. not just necessity...

I have a little bear cat for my bus, I thought it would be good to hear what's going on when there's backed up traffic, cops on the highway, or if I was plane bored.

Hey party boy. Most people on here build on a very limited budget and have experienced advice.
If it was me researching what you want and I am sure you are? I would look into the 4x4,rock crawler, extreme off road rigs.
If I could afford it?
I would convert a MARINE CORPS vehicle I knew as a dragon wagon? Sorry don't know the VID? I was and always will be GRUNT. Every trailer they hauled had a drive shaft connected like a caterpillar.
Talk about a Mansion over the hill/sandbar or on top.
Always wanted to play with 1 but I always/most of the timehad to hump/walk?
Been to Bridgeport,RENO,29 stumps,Pendleton/delmar, OCEANsideSLIME,Carlsbad, San D /Tijuana.

I was thinking about 4x4 conversion in my plans but if I'm going to spend 15k on a 4x4 i would just buy a jeep wrangler. I'm just not interested in 4x4 yet.

Jeeps are fun.. ive built a few... ive owned 8 of them over the years...

owned a lot of hotrods too.. fun stuff..

but I wanted something different.. so a school bus it is!!

I love your build ideas.. cant wait to watch you start putting this together!!!
except for the 6000K lights... I had them on my last jeep and they were way too blue.. 4500K gave me the greatest lighting distance and least amount of oncoming traffic flashing me for lights that were too bright..

Thanks, pictures and video will come soon. I get my cast off tomorrow, and soon as I get check for my totaled vehicle from insurance it's on. I had 6k lighting in my taco when I had her I loved them. but I am all for trying new lighting.

4x4 is just not neccessary for my application its atound 15k for the setup i no i say im not on a budget but thats way outa price range. im not ruleling it out for later on down the road but. this will be my full time home i dont want to destroy it 4x4in somewere.
Why the lift kit and all the off road stuff if you're not making it a 4X4?

wit hthe right weight distribution, drivetrain and tires.. theres a ton of places you can go without needing 4x4...

even out "wheeling" in my jeep there were many days that my 4x4 was turned off more than it was on...
