emergency door alarm delete/wont start now

hi everyone,
I hate to ask, but I've read everyone's posts about deleting the interlock systems on their buses and nothing has worked so far. Mine seems different it is a 2000 Thomas I have tried grounding the yellow wire from the relay in the picture. We are new to this obviously any help would be great. tks

are your wires labled?
yellow wire is most likely part of the vandal lock system.
not the same bus.
on mine i had to connect that wire (van lock relay)to the van lock pilot to keep everything running.
pull and disconectt one thing at a time and see if it starts and its either oops put it back together or good to go but anything yellow is the safety system.

I have traced all the wires down from the door. the white wire goes to the buzzer which goes back to the fuse. The yellow goes to the relay and the blue goes back to the other side of the buzzer

so none of your wires are labled every couple of feet?
try connecting the two buzzer wires together
yellow and blue?

yes they have a number on them... i have tried connecting all 3 together.. then leaving the the yellow wire out of the connection and grounding it to the bus. no go on any of it

i had to connect two yellows together.
try just connecting two together because the third is open switch signal
give me time to get to my bus probably in the morning and i might be able to give you wire numbers.
do you have a child check button above that door?

i only have 1 yellow wire going from the relay to the back door buzzer

im not sure what a child check button is
all mine had was a push button buzzer contact so when the door lock depressed it then bus would start, and of course that switch is in the landfill now

Another couple of users are going to the same issue right now. But they have international buses. Yet I found them a fair amount of information on Thomas buses. Here's the link to that thread. Go read my post and check out the links that are in them. Hopefully that'll help.

in your first post with pics. you have another yellow wire in the wire bundle.
dont cut and splice it yet because it is connected somewhere else use a crimp splice and connect them.

the other yellow wire in the pick is just bundled together it has a different number and goes to rear lights

That "buzzer" looks like a relay to me, a simple single pole single throw relay. Buzzers don't have 3 wires. That would explain the power from the fuse box going to the rear of the bus possibly triggered by the ignition switch. The other picture with a black relay shows a single pole double throw type. You could use that to direct power to a buzzer in an alarm condition or through the normal ignition sequence through the solenoids. It looks complicated but it's not

I just highlighted it and clicked on open and it opened just fine. Try copying the link putting into a new tab and seeing if that works.

When you tried to start it, you were focused on this wiring "issue". So, maybe, MAYBE, you let the engine bay switch on the "OFF" side? Would it be possible?

What model 2000 Thomas do you have?

In the third picture the yellow wire coming out of the relay, ground it and see what happens. My '03 Thomas had all the no start, buzzer stuff going to an exact same relay and when I traced all the wires down from windows, hatches, and back door I found they all worked on a common ground system and if that ground was broke you triggered the system. The yellow wire on that relay is the common ground, I snipped it and grounded it to a lug in the side box and everything is good now, no buzzers, no more no start if something is open. Worth a try.
