I am soon going to be doing the flooring in my bus. The bus has a traditional plywood subfloor. My wife has decided that she wants an end-grain tile floor. I have been looking into different adhesives and grouts (if I even use a grout, I may lay each tile up against the others) I know that I will need a flexible adhesive for the road vibration and bus flexing. But There seems to be a variety of products out there, and I am not sure what is the best choice. I also do not want to lay down cement board or anything to stiffen up the floor, as I am a tall guy, and my bus is just barely tall enough.

One thing to keep in mind is that my bus is heated with a wood stove, which means that It is not always kept warm in the winter, there will be times where it may freeze if we are not home, so im sure this needs to be considered when selecting a product.

Anyone have any experience or insight on this topic. What product did you use or recommend using?

It would look amazing- like walking around on a Boos Bros butcher block.

From an woodworking and engineering standpoint, I'd say it'd be much easier to talk wife into different flooring. I suggest starting off with Margaritas.

Wood has very little strength in that direction, unless the pieces are longer, as in the butcher block. The glue won't be happy without backing.

Then add the temperature extremes of a wood stove to the mix.

Here is guy who sells- ask him Unfinished Flooring | Aspenson Lumber
