Hello, I'm new to the skoolie community and I'm excited to get going on my bus home. I recently purchased a 1985 gmc bus with my wife and will receive delivery in a week. I am looking for plans to get myself going. I plan on keeping it simple. I bedroom in the back, some double bunk beds for four kids, small kitchen, wood stove, and living space. Any advice or rough plans are greatly appreciated.

Welcome!
The first and best advice I'd give any new bus owner would be to be safe and then also don't get overwhelmed with how HUGE a project the whole thing is, and think of it as lots of smaller, more manageable projects. Don't be afraid to get your hands dirty. Just try to keep them from getting bloody!
If you're going to be living in it, I'd suggest going with as much insulation as can be had.
I just got my current bus back in Nov. I'm loving this project!
Have you driven a bus or large truck before?

I am confident in my skills as a carpenter and electrician. I know it is going to be work but I am a farmer and hard work is a everyday thing. Thank you for your advice though. And yes I have driven long trucks and an rv before, I don't plan on using the bus to travel but may move it another part of my acreage.

Oh, ok. Ten four.
Same here- been working hard my whole life. Just spent the last twelve years in steel fabrication and cutting. Experience goes a long way! saves a ton of money too. Any pics of the bus?

Here is a picture of the bus I bought, 1985 gmc
