Found the nice giant hole in the exhaust right above the rear axle..im just going to replace that whole section. The 3xhaust exits right behind rear wheel. I want to run it straight out the back to keep diesel stink out..now is there any good reason not to do this?

Only issue that I can foresee with having the exhaust shooting straight out the back is if you're towing something behind you it would get covered in black diesel crud. If you run to the back and give it a right angle so it goes out one of the sides it might not happen.

Fix it the way it sits and learn to park so the wind takes the diesel fumes away. Going straight back things will get black and the pipe itself takes up valuable space interfering with certain work under there.
Mine exits in front of driver side rear but close to the wheelwell . No black yet but am in a very windy spot.

Maybe take it farther back but still exit on passenger side..just dont want to have the back windows open and sucking fumes while rolling down the road.

One issue with putting exhaust on the passenger side is that if you need/want the engine running while camped, that is probably where you will be set up (cough, cough).

Mine also exits right in front of the driver side tires. One more advantage of having it on the driver side is that it makes it easy to monitor your smoke while driving. A good thing with diesels.

Here's one solution

Once i get parked the only time the bus will be started is once every 3 day. The only time DC will be used is while rolling down the road.
