Faith and work brought me my summer camp bus

Howdy everyone,

This is srgofcb and I just purchased a 1972 Gillig school bus that just needs some tlc on the outside and a tiny home inside for me and my two pups. My current living situation must change within a months time and could use suggestions of how to get large stuff inside? I'm trying to keep everything small as possible but I am not exactly a wee lad. I even have to re mount the factory drivers seat about 6" back. Anyone and everyone's input is welcomed. I will have some picks soon.

How exciting; i too have a living situation that will change in July, so bus is my plan too...now i continue my search, invite the guidance of time, and see what life has to say about my plans lol

I'm trying to shrink the size of the pictures down enough to fit in the posts but as they say when over whelmed "I've got too many irons in the fire"
Itzik at 1160 I believe 1180 rear engine with a 10 speed Fuller Eaton tranny, plenty of low range gears so much so that 3rd or 4th is just fine for starting out on a flat grade.
The front axle being so far back from the driver's seat took some getting used to and may I say a few nights of irregularity as well. All her seats are out and just found out to the CHP inspection service is too busy to come out anymore in my area Sacramento California so I have to rely on a few extra cups of coffee and disposable chair so I can be first in line at DMV tomorrow to get a reassignment registered in my name as a house car.

Any suggestions on an insurance company that will cover a bus interior conversion to a rv?

Your best bet is to find a local insurance agent. You know, the house turned into an office with the sign in front.

Furry companions in tow I've found that c-list free stuff has also led to a retro theme that's great for my budget. A few porta potties, shower pans, curtains and some hanging water jugs should do if I don't find a rare claw foot tub.

Short bus was my second plan if I didn't find Gilli!

I have an art deco style footed tub. Come get it.
It doesnt' have the fancy feet though. But its apartment sized. Nice.
