Hey skoolie nation!

We bought our bus a few months ago, but couldn't get converting till April. It's a 2009 International CE300. Picked it up in Arizona and drove to the east coast to work on with family. (Moving from California)

It's a seven-window, 29-footer, so there are extra challenges making everything we need and want have a place. Curious, has anyone else out there converted a similar-sized bus?? (I seem to find mostly full-length or shorter buses being converted.)

Progress so far...

Seats are out
Finished floor and ceiling are in
Walls are insulated
Beginning to build interior (plumbing first)

Here's some pix. Appreciate any and all feedback/advice going forward.

(Oh yeah, we named the bus "True North")

Welcome

There's quite a few medium size bus builds here. Although there is some argument about what a medium size bus really is. Some call your bus a 7 window shorty. I have a 9 window FE at 26'.

You're making nice progress and the tung and groove ceiling is a favorite of most people here.

nice rig!! its an 08+ year so make sure you read up on maoint of your emission systems.. DPF filters, DEF fluid, regen cycles, etc.. this stuff can leave you along the road. so treat it nicely..

what engine is in that? MaxxForce 7? if so be sure to keep oil changed often as well.. EGR coul;d be an issue on those..

Nice bus!! i love short busses... have 2 of them. they rock!!!

Medium buses.

I'm looking for more medium bus floor plans!! Maybe we need our own thread?

front of bus should say "Looking for True North" and the back should say "Getting There!"

Did you pull your metal ceiling panels down before you insulated?

My understanding is the fiberglass insulation loses R-Value when it's compressed. How much do you think this method helped with heat/cold??
