Hey all. I’m new to this and have had a dream for years to live in a converted bus. My problem is idk where the best place is to find a bus. I’m looking for shorter medium bus preferably. What are some good websites and places I could find a potential bus?

Before you go out looking for a bus you need to identify what specs, engine/tranny combo you want.

The wrong combo package can cost you millions...no maybe thousands...

I bought my bus through Public Surplus.

What type of engines are there? If we’re talking diesel, fuel etc then I’d be looking for a diesel. Something That can get up and over passes.

Here is a really good thread that will help you get edumecated on buying your first bus.
Please take a read, there's more good threads on this subject. No need to hash it out again for the 5 millionth time.

Yeh I’ll check it out. Thankies.

What MR P mentioned earlier, you got to understand that busses in the rust belt states, states that use alot of salt on the winter roadways, will more than likely have rust concerns/issues.
Not only on the chassis and body but also affecting the wiring and some of the components under the bus.

I bought my first bus in Louisville KY and yes, it had rust, just take a look at the pictures in my build thread.
You can get busses cheaper in these areas as compared to Nevada or California but it all boils down to the deal that you find.
My second bus I bought in South Florida, ZERO rust but it had a blown engine that has since been rebuilt.

I bought my bus from Virginia and got lucky. I don't think it was ever used in the winter. It's very rainy there too but somehow survived, but mine was a unicorn in regards to having no rust from the rust belt, and most from that area are rusty, so yes buy from South West desert areas as Mr P suggested.
