Hello all, nice to be here! First, I want to go ahead and think and remember that contributes here. 👍👍🪛👍because of you, everyone that doesn't have the knowledge if desired can have the knowledge because of the pain staking experience
and motivation of strangers.

Honestly I was looking over the service manual the engine is kind of making me nervous coming from nitro rc engines, 2 stroke, then motorcycles/cars.. little intimidating.

Well I'm done typing.

Nice to meet you thank you for taking the time to read my fun filled intro.

I just went to get it registered and they didn't know why the body type said cc, they thought it meant cab and chassis so their contacting their quality specialist to see what that means and they'll get back to me LOL

but supposedly it has a 7.3-L V-8 OHV 16V DIESEL/CNG according to VIN check I did and the Maine title had a code on the body type as "CC" which is conservation commercial

I did some research on CNG and the duel system but I didn't really find any good information on like what it looks like or what not.. how do I tell if it has that system or not?

Looks like a poor man's toterhome. Any more info on it? Engine? Trans? Your goal with it?

Looks to be in decent shape. Most of those crew cab internationals that I've seen were former state highway trucks and are rusted out pretty badly. Where was this from?

It is an interesting setup, and quite fascinating as well.

Looks like what you got is an International 4700 chassis (can’t tell what the engine is under the “4700”) but I would hazard a guess at a T444E, and possibly an AT545 Allison transmission behind it. The T444E V8 used in International trucks and buses is essentially the 7.3 Powerstroke engine used in Ford trucks and vans (there are a few differences of course but the block, rotating assembly, and heads are the same between the International and Ford variants)

Anywho,

I understand the intimidation completely. Before I bought Sabrina, the only real “hands on” experience with engines stemmed from lawn mowers and cars, so a diesel was new territory to me, but the easiest thing that helped me was that a gas engine and a Diesel engine mechanically are similar (piston, connecting rod, crank, cam, etc.) and the only things different were the fuel used (and method of delivery), and means of combustion (diesels run on compression ignition instead of a spark)

Other than those details, if you’ve worked on cars, then a Diesel engine isn’t that much different mechanically. And the forums here are a great source of knowledge and help for issues that may arise with the Diesel engine.

Any questions you may have, go ahead and reach out. :thumb:

ya im new to diesels also!
what a cool looking rig.
dig the 4 door cab and only 1 bed LOL
what a party....
whats that little extension on the back?
is that for storage?

LOL yeah I changed it up big time definitely got rid of that TV and unfortunately had to get rid of all the furniture because of the old musty smell. Any tips on musty smell would be great this adventure is going to be an adventure..

The body type says CC because it's a Crew Cab.

That makes the most sense! Thanks 👍 because it's definitely doesn't have a CNG added to it. Lol
It's registered now as a motorhome the DMV were dead certain it meant cab and chassis LOL crew cab is the actual confirmed abbreviation though smart man smart man

It's actually the lift gate with a frame built around it has a welded motorcycle stand on it. Too bad I just sold my Kawasaki concours 1400.. :(

Fresh air and a dehumidifier to get rid of the musty smell. An ozone generator works well if it's really bad.

Then inspect it thoroughly to make sure the roof isn't leaking.

thats brilliant they turned the lift gate into a bike lift & covered it!
some of the best ideas are built out of necessities.

bio clean agents works wonders!

i used it in the attic in my house and my 72 station wagon!

that stuff amazing. it kills the smell and not just cover it up.

put 1 in your cab & 2 in the back and keep it closed for a couple of days.

also a interior primer paint call KILZ works good.

enjoy the build!

Thanks I will give it a try.. I'm going to have to repair the frame where the liftgate is cuz there's wood rot from the AC condensation.. tires all around how much are tires on these things I guess it's like buying six motorcycle tires?... ಠ﹏ಠ

if your tires are as old as that TV was you will need tires LOL

even if the tread looks good tires get a flat spot from sitting too long wich will cause vibrations.

there will actually be a date on the tire. google on where/how to translate it,

never keep tires over 8-10 years i think?

simply google your tire size and that will give ya a idea of how much they are?

i got mine from less swab just so i could have some kind of warranty, tire rotations, free flat fix, etc. that company has a lot of shops all over the place.

Enjoy the build.
