Hey all,

Post-demo timeframe of my 2010' Thomas C2 and I'm gearing up to start on the floor as winter starts to break. Now that I'm at metal ribs and floor, I'm contemplating realistic headroom for me (6'0) and the lady (5'10"). My math comes out to this:

Ceiling Height
77.25"
1.5" - Foam board - 2" Foam Board
0.75" - OSB subfloor - 0.5" OSB subfloor
0.5" - 1/2" strap overlap - 3/8" (0.375") strap overlap
0.25" - Cedar TG boards -----------------

Height - 74.25" Height - 74.125"

My question is, is 2" enough to be comfortable or are we going to be banging our heads while going down the road. I'm trying to balance subfloor holding strength with foam board insulation needs here too so I don't want to over-sacrifice if most people survive in this height.

For consideration:
- spray foam of at least 2" will be on the walls and ceiling
-Weekend warrior use so this isn't used full time
- OSB will be Advantech (I know better there)
- Will have 12,000 btu mini split for heating and cooling with bus' factory heater and a infrared heater as backups (will travel in winter)

Let me know if I'm missing any info but any opinions are appreciated as I can't lay down floor until I settle this.

Thanks,

Is that measure from the highest point of ceiling?

I wouldn't be comfy with only 2" of headroom.
Most of my boots have about an inch of sole, and my deep winter ones are a little taller.

full timer though, so take that as you will

That's from the bare rib to the steel floor right now. There's another 2" in rib to the outer shell but the straps will be at the lowest point so that'll all be filled with foam.

Also, just noticing the format went to crap. Attaching comparison for better visual on math:
