Floor repair / replacement

I've finally got the floor out of my short bus and it's time to start redoing it. I'm looking for a little advice. The old plywood subfloor was a mess so it has been torn out. I don't want to do a proper insulated subfloor because head space is very limited, so I'm planning to put down 1/2" plywood (like it had before) then laminate wood flooring on top.

The metal underneath is in ok shape, but there are lots of holes from old bolts, rust, etc. What, if anything, should I do to seal those up underneath the plywood? Should I go with marine grade wood? Should I put a layer of anything between the plywood and flooring?

I used 1/4" foam insulation on my floor with 5/8 plywood. With the final floor I only lost 1" of height.

Best to clean up/"convert" any rust on the floor and definitely seal up all of the holes. Many discussions on how to go about it. Everything from welding (which I did on mine) to gluing down pennies to a dab of sealant and some metallic tape. Pick yer poison. Just remember that everything else you build out will be on top of whatever floor you lay down. I paid extra for marine ply but then, mine is so short it wasn't that big a deal.

Taking the advice of several people, I've used flex seal to seal up the holes in the floor. I put down aluminum tape to cover the big holes and sprayed over it. seems to have worked quite well. I'm looking at what to use for the floor now. Marine grade plywood is crazy expensive, and will probably last longer than the bus will be alive. I'm thinking this stuff looks like a good option. what do y'all think?
