2006 31' Thomas HDX CAT C7 250 HP Allison 3060 6sp
2007 Thomas HDX 31 foot rear engine diesel bus. 36,200 lb. GVWR.
CAT C7, 250 HP, 800 TQ, Allison 6 Spd auto, exhaust brake, Anti-lock air brakes.
120,000 BTU engine driven A/C system. Heavy duty cooling system with copper/brass radiator w/stainless steel end tanks and coolant tubes. Blue silicone coolant hoses through out. Front heater and defroster with circulation pump.
Diesel fuel pre-filter with water separator. 100 gallon fuel tank.
All filters and fluids changed at 237k.
Mobil One engine oil (diesel 5-40) and CAT oil filter changed at 242k.
Michelin 11 r22.5 tires. Max speed 84 mph.
Bully Dog engine monitoring scan tool w/display and adjustable speed limiter. Can access fault codes for engine.
Current mileage is 245k, I purchased this bus in 2021 with 237k miles.
It was operated by Clark County NV (Las Vegas) school district from 2007 to 2020 as a Handicapped bus. Absolutely NO RUST!
In 2022 it went from Santa Fe to Sturgis SD, in 2022 it went from Santa Fe to Chicago and in 2024 it went from Santa Fe to Portland OR, all with no issues and A/C keeping us @65* inside while ambient outside temps were 90 to 105*f.
The interior has been painted white and all original seats removed.
The wheelchair lift was removed. Entry door has handrail and pole.
The driver seat and rear passenger seat are Saab 9-5 leather power seats.
A full size couch is at the right front. On the left side a 72" live edge Hardwood counter top is mounted on Home Depot blue cabinets.
A 7.5 Cubic Foot 120v refrigerator/freezer runs off of a 2000w inverter while driving. A 120v external power cord runs from back to front on the left side.
A 120v 2200w gasoline generator is for campground use.
A Noco battery maintainer is hooked to the external power cord.
A small closet on the right side encloses a cassette toilet.
On the left side is a 2 drawer cabinet.
In the back are 2 twin beds with storage underneath.
All windows are tinted and have privacy covers that can be put up on the inside. There is a front privacy curtain behind the driver seat.
2 area rugs cover the main floor. The flooring is original with tie down rails.
There are 2 roof escape hatches and a left side emergency exit door. The rear window opens as an emergency exit. There are 4 emergency exit side windows.
The right side has a 40" wide wheelchair access door.
Both side doors have external key lock handles, keyed alike.
The front entry door has a lock bar on the inside. Side doors can be locked from the inside.
The dash mounted heater and defroster have a coolant booster pump for improved function.
There are hard wired HD front and rear cameras with a 7" display with memory.
The outside upper yellow flashers are functional. Headlamps are Hella H4.
All of the other lights are LED from the factory. The bus is equipped with a 110 DB backup alert beeper.
This is a very well maintained bus ready to drive anywhere.
It is licensed and insured (State Farm) as a Recreational Vehicle.
