I have an allison mt643 automatic transmission for sale. It is a good running takeout from my 1985 ih/thomas bus ( i put a 10 speed manual truck transmission in my bus since i like manual transmissions). The transmission has cable modulator and was bolted to a international dt466 with sae 2 bellhousing. I am selling it for $900 OBO. The transmission comes with torque converter, flexplate with bolts, shifter, spin on filter and base. Pm me if interested. I can take pics of the transmission and other components. I am located in picayune, mississippi

$900 or best offer for a good running takeout transmission, torque converter, flexplate, shifter with cable, and filter with base is a comparable price after looking at truckpaper, vanderhaags,etc. lkq has rebuilt ones for $3,200

Need to add that the allison mt643 i am selling is for air brake setup, it doesn’t have the drum parking brake on the tailshaft

What Christopher(cadillackid) said is correct. Marshfield MO LKQ heavy truck had(last I checked) Navistar reman aka ReNEWed mt643 transmissions for sale for 650. Story was that Navistar eliminated the part # out of their system and quit stocking the mt643, so the remaining units in the system were liquidated to lkq for peanuts, which is why marshfield, and I believe marshfield only, is selling those reman units for peanuts.

Price is negotiable and comparable to other used takeouts, only difference is all the other parts pictured go with transmission at that price

over 2 years in with my marshfield trans no issues..



thats an interesting looking converter on this one bolted rather than welded.. kinda cool if you ever need to replace the discs in it..

Yeah the 643 is a good transmission, i just prefer the manual fuller truck transmission i put in my bus last year, much more fun to drive vs automatic
