HI guys,

Yet another question for the group while I search for a potential SKoolie.

The vast majority of shuttle buses I've been looking at have Ford 7.3L engines (and I've been staying clear of the 6.0L) but I have seen a few manufacturers that have Chevy Express engines. I was wondering if anyone out there had any preferences Chevy 3500's vs the Ford 7.3L???

Thanks, good comments on the Fords. (MOst of the buses I've seen are 99 and later).

Anyone out there have a Chevy???

wish mine was a turbo but thats just one more thing to fix and with a van front that mean even less room to do it.

if i had to do it again i think id get a shuttle bus with a SD truck front on it like so:

Truck fronts add to your overall length but I assume its way bettet at insulating you from engine noise.

I've seen some interesting mid sized buses with truck fronts but they were all International Diesels and way out of my price range. :-(
