Queries for our KnowledgeBase have been saturated with an abundance of RV Network data.

The database fields & their unique identifiers have been co-mingled. Now the the search results are garbled.

Try searching Google with basic commands: 👇

Hook ups site:skoolie.net

This query used to return only skoolie results from our skoolie photos & threads. Now the results are vast, mostly from the Keystone Forum, Forest River Forum, Jaco Owners Forum, Hi-Lo Trailer Forum, Thor Forum, Dutchmen Owners, Winnie Owners, even Army.mil..... (saturated)

At skoolie.net, we sh!t talk the sticks and staples RVs meanwhile they kick us out if their campgrounds. Mixing these two groups is like having a KC Chiefs party in Downtown Philly. A nice mix according to Jerry Springer.

The same appears to be true of our photo albums. Pretty truck toppers, fifth-wheels & 500k motorhomes.

Did the RV industry make an investment into skoolie.net? (jk) Self cannibalization is a real & it's a business killer.

The one thing different about skoolie.net was the KnowledgeBase that had been built up for nearly a quarter century. The database is now heavily flawed and the queries return more irrelevant garbage than usable results.

The text search feature will return results for the word 'to' in every instance where t and o are next to each other in a word.

New search engine or different admin setting?

We used to recieve a tremendous amout of incomming web traffic straight from Google images. I'm having a hard time finding the thousands of images from skoolie.net on Google image search.
How do the incomming traffic reports look now?
My guess: More traffic incomming from RV stuff, less traffic coming from skoolie stuff.

🙏 I hope the removed features and searchable knowledgeBase become usable again.

(signature blocks, with links would be nice, too)

USER PROFILE - It was really helpful to have within the user profile the description of the bus one has, especially when One member reached out for help.
Now, unless they specifically tell us within the first post, how can we tell what specs (engine/tranny one has?
asking each time is going to get old for me...

Awesome update. Took a little time for me to get used to where things moved to, but I'm getting the hang of it.

The ignore users feature is now spot on. In the previous software it would still show that ignored users posted or replied. New software shows nothing, which is how it should be.

Ya'll screwed something up. When I search google for skoolie content your other sites come up.

Here are where the first two links end up taking me even though I searched for skoolie.net.

Then I tried to search internally and non skoolie vehicles come up for sale. Why would I when on a skoolie site want to see those?

I tried clicking on the links and it took me no where.

+1 vote for this!

😃Heimlich,
That is exactly what I found, as mentioned in an earlier post. I received no response to my question.

imho, it looks as if the databases were merged and the unique identifiers were not used. Likely, a lazy dba wrote-over one or more columns of cell data & merged the databases.
Again, imho.

Even within the site's own search engine, the queries I've seached do not yeild my own tutorial threads, let alone any of the other knowledgebase info.

For decades, Google steered the skoolie-specific traffic into this site. I can tell by seaching Google images, that we are loosing our rating fast. Our skoolie way of life is being diluted while the RV (industry) Network cannibalizes the DIY trend. Follow the 💰 money. I no longer believe in coincidence or mistakes.

Will they try to fix the "mistake" or is sabotage the plan?
🤔🫣🤫
Can we see the web-traffic reports both before and after the implementation of the new product?

🤷If they silence the whistle blower, you already know (I'm right)

All the flashy upgrades....making me feel like it's no fun coming here anymore...especially since the mods won't even acknowledge our input on this thread!

I just hit the report button and shared my concern that no mods have addressed this thread...

Most of these issues have been addressed and updates are still being made. Patience...

I'm using the mobile version right now and I prefer to browse by "New posts" so I didn't miss any conversations, but on the new site it doesn't dismiss the read posts as I go through them. I'd like to see them disappear after visiting so I didn't have to go to the full list of posts which is also cumbersome because they do not disappear there either and I have 7 pages of new posts to catch up on. Eventually as I browse them and am on page 4 of 7 it is a lot of clicks to get to the next post.

It seems to know I have visited a post because it's no longer bolded title text so it should be an option to just remove it from my list like on the old forums.

All you have to do is search google and you will see the issue is still there. The links show as skoolie.net but they redirect to your other sites.

Look at the one below and you see skoolie.net on it but when you follow it it goes to forest something.
