yeah its too bad they didnt put the turbos on DT's at the back.. being on the side makes them tough in a flat nose bus to get at

It's that tube that goes into the top of it. Im thinking it's oil lubed and cooled?

yeah! thats exactly the case. turbo's flow a lot of oil.. that bearing gets hot at 25000 RPM.. on my DT 360 there is a little gasket under that flange and 2 bolts to hold it on.

the return line off the bottom is low pressure but can still leak.. not as common as the high pressure line leaking though.

Yup. That's it. I should have changed that seal. It came with the rebuild gasket set. Kicking myself for that simpler mistake

I can't agree. It seems they could not have out it in a more convenient place to work on it.Or are they elsewhere on a 360?

I have an RE and it's tucked. I wish it was that easy on mine. I have the dt466e

Hey Christopher, what's the idle oil pressure? It isles at 35 or a little more. Reved It hits 50

thats normal.. the book says anything 10 and above at full-temperature idle Is OK.. and 35+ at rated RPM (2300) is acceptable..


my DT360 idles at 25 or so in Hot weather and runs up to 50 at speed

Yes. That's what it idled at. It was thick, but not that thick.
