yeah! thats exactly the case. turbo's flow a lot of oil.. that bearing gets hot at 25000 RPM.. on my DT 360 there is a little gasket under that flange and 2 bolts to hold it on.

the return line off the bottom is low pressure but can still leak.. not as common as the high pressure line leaking though.
 
yeah its too bad they didnt put the turbos on DT's at the back.. being on the side makes them tough in a flat nose bus to get at

I can't agree. It seems they could not have out it in a more convenient place to work on it.Or are they elsewhere on a 360?

thats normal.. the book says anything 10 and above at full-temperature idle Is OK.. and 35+ at rated RPM (2300) is acceptable..


my DT360 idles at 25 or so in Hot weather and runs up to 50 at speed
