Full timer & pet adoption...

A couple of "hunting" dogs have been dumped here a week ago. Skin and bones.
Another beagle, too, that keeps showing up begging for some foood. Skin and bones, as well.
All three free to any kind of home. Anyone wanna help? Animal control doesn't seem to wanna do a damn thing.
Hunting season is always a heartbreaking time of year here for those of us who love animals, especially the dogs. Having grown up around it, I have zero respect for the "southern" type of hunting with dogs. Those people treat their dogs worse than anyone.

Brought Buddy home for the weekend... He's about 3 years old and not your typical jumping Jack Rat! His eyes are normal... Just camera flash

Yay for rescued bus dogs!!!

We full time in our bus with three cats, two dogs, and a goat. Unless it's over 95 degrees outside, they're perfectly fine in any spot because we painted the roof white, use reflectix in the windows, and have screens so we can put the windows down without anyone escaping. All our insulation is stock. We also have a window AC that we use when the humans are in the bus, but we never leave the bus unattended with the generator running. If it's too hot for them to be without AC, we just make sure we're in the campsite too so they have have the air.

I'm in a work environment where I can keep him with me. He'll go where I go, or we won't go!

I've got 2 chihuahuas and a maine coon cat (he weighs what both chi's weigh x4!). I am looking to screen my windows, as well... how did you manage? I have the door screened with one that you are suppose to put on a tension rod, instead I attached magnet clamps on all of them and it stays in place with them, and then a doggie gate on the bottom step. I am concerned about the cat getting out of the windows, so any of the ones that are near furniture are only down 2 notches.
Did you have the window screens fitted? Or did you find another solution?
Thanks!
Sandi

looks like he's passing your test! He seems to be so well behaved and made for FT bus living :D And that face!
oh my goodness....I think you've found your Buddy.

Buddy still has not barked once!
I've even tested him, while he was asleep I knocked on the wall... He raised his head, looked at me and 30 seconds later laid his head back down.
All the Jack Russell's I've seen are like overwound up rubber bands!
When he's ready to pee, he sits by the door.

He'll watch the cows for hours! And doesn't even bark at the cat out in the field.
My poodles were twice as hyper!!!

If you look through my build thread I think I put up some details on the screens. I took scrap metal and had it welded up to make frames that fit the window space on the outside, then cut screen to fit and glued it to the frames with liquid nails, then screwed each frame in with four screws.
