I won't go into details, but they made sure we were happy and they hooked us up. I didn't demand anything, but they were super understanding. The man I spoke to was extremely sympathetic and extremely sincere. They went to great lengths to make sure we were taken care of.

Day 4, the final day.

this past week we rented our first RV to educate ourselves. This is what followed.

Something to think about... When you plug and unplug at a campground's pedestal, would be to flip the breaker to OFF, plug into outlet, then flip the breaker to ON.
I've seen people that just plug straight in, and you'll see and hear an arc when the blades make contact with the outlet.
Surely, arcing electricity can't be a good thing. I developed the practice of turning off breaker, connect, then flip on with a lot of different outlets.

And if you looked at the blades on your rental unit's cord...I'd bet they were burnt.
Lots of plugging and unplugging going on, more so than your plugs at home. When's the last time you unplugged your dryer or welder?

the examples I showed were caused by overloading 30 amp circuits or damaged campground receptacles... After seeing burn marks on my cord, I always just flipped the breaker... it's right there anyway

We just got these two logos from our graphic designer. Which one do you prefer?

not enough differences in my opinion.... but, if I had to choose, I'd go with the one on the right because the waves at the bottom look less cluttered.

Not sure if the designer is trying to impose shadows on the peaks and waves, but I don't think they have enough significant impact.... it just looks like a silk screen error if it was going on a shirt. I don't think the shadow message would come across. Now, if it's an insider's symbolism... it might be different.

While we love the idea of building a bus from the groud up, we're getting antsy and we want to be on the road sooner rather than later.

I'm not sure which rig we'll end up in, but for right now, I think a bus build might not be in our near future.

Well that's a bummer. But one definitely can't understate the importance of having conversion goals and a timeline that match up -- when the goals get bigger than the timeline, stress and regret result. If you can find a production RV that fits your needs, it could make more sense to go that route and be out on the road doing what you want to do sooner.

The good news is that we're more committed to living on the road full-time. I use the term "on the road" loosely; we'll be in a house with wheels on it. Which house, I'm not sure, but it'll be mobile for certain. Thanks for the encouragement and for following along on our journey!
