Does anyone here have one or two & attatches these to there rv or anywere near for that matter to catch whats creeping around while you snooze away while out & about.?
When i stayed at the paraglide park for the first time, i woke up to mice workin back & fourth at the base of my windshield, god knows what else was sniffin around out their. so when i move in full time i think i am going to get a couple to play around with.

I just walk up to whatever is creeping around in the dark:dance:

I plan to have a dash cam in addition to my backup camera. I'm not sure how difficult it will be but I would like to wire those as well as an interior camera into a DVR to use as a security system. But that's a maybe.

Wish I'd have had a dashcam tonight when that cop blew through the intersection doing 50 in a 35, with his interior light on and talking on cell phone!
I still called the PD... But I'd have put it up on YouTube too:furious:

Yes a dash cam with night vision & motion detection recording front & rear while parked is a must for me when i start full timeing.
Milkman: what vintage camera did you take that with. pretty blurry ehh.!

Hi,

I went with the Nightowl 4 camera system with DVR. It's so nice to sit in the bus and click on the tele input to see all 4 views outside. I am considering a monitor up front so i can see the rear camera whilst i drive.
I can add up to 8 total cameras and amazingly Harbor freight has extra cameras that will work for only $30.

Good luck!

Oh wow i forgot the mention that last week the cameras caught a guy breaking into a car!

Screen grab from an iPhone video while I was holding a spotlight and walking up to the deer. He was about 40 yards away before he finally spooked.

And yes, I know a toaster takes a better night video!

Don't spot light any deer in Mo. Not even for photos etc.

people laughed at me 10 years ago when I bought cheap harbor freight black and white night vision cameras for my house.. 4 of those and 4 expensive super HAD sony stuff.... all of them outdoors.. the chapie harbor freighters are still going strong... after rain / snow / sun/ wind ,etc every time i pull up the screen there they are... the sonys? well theyve been gone for awhile now... decidedly they ad better picture they just didnt hold up

for IP cameras I have some FOSCAMs that have changeable lenses so you can change the field of view of the camera.. those have been solid for 3 years now outdoors no issues.. the ones I have I think are even powered via 802.3af which is a plus

Game cameras are cheap and easy to play with. Video/IP cameras can get complicated and expensive.

I love playing with game cameras, I have a $100. one that has got countless pics of animals in the woods.

I have installed IP security cameras professionally before they can be a pain..
-Cheap cams will send your video to a cloud server you will need internet and they are unreliable.
-If you get the next step up and store your footage you will need a computer or DVR to collect it
-At night when the IR lights go on they will draw some energy if you are off grid this might be an issue.

Just a couple of points that might be factors.
