Garage lighting

I bought some of the cheap 12V LED strips on ebay and stuck them to a plastic T strip used for drop ceilings. I like the cool white not the warm white. Powered them with an old computer power supply.

Putting in a work bench marc? Possibly on a wall and over your tool boxes would be better than ceiling mount. Keep your cables accessible all the way back to the panel, they look good exposed if run nicely without kinks and gentle bends. Same for your receptacles.
Haven't shopped for light fixtures lately so no help there.

I will probably mount dual lockers at the rear on both sides and a narrow workbench from there forward on both sides.
I'm trying to figure out a way to run the wires along the transition from window top to roof, and some sort of hollow behind trim to cover them. Trying to run as few wires as possible.

You might also like to add an articulated light on each end of the workbench for directed lighting.

Throw me some examples. I checked and I can have a 5' x 18' bench on each side. LED's would be best, to not use as much 120v. Plan on a 4 gang receptacle on each side (or 2 gang with switch), over head lighting. Probably cut in a hinged compartment out side with an air connection.

I thought you might have something particular in mind. That wooden articulated LED one is different.
Naw, nothing spectacular. I do use the "typical" Walmart style desklamp on one of my work benches. I like to be able to positiion it right on the work at hand. My wife has one with a fluorescent circular light that surrounds a magnifying lens which is cool. It is called an OttLite:

Is there an Ikea near you?

$13 at Ikea, $22 at Amazon.

They're technically 120v, but they come with a wall wart that makes 12vdc for the LED, so you could hard-wire it in. Theyre pretty bright for task lighting, or point up at the ceiling for general light. There are a bunch of base options too - spring clips, a straight USB plug, and an extra-tall floor lamp.
