Do most people cover over the gas tank access cover in the center of The floor?

It looks like you lose access to the fuel level sending unit, suction, return, fill and vent lines?

yeah don't do that unless you're willing to drop the tank if you ever need to gain access to it. Luckily where mine is, is where we put the couch so it worked out. It's not the end of the world though. It would only take about 15 minutes to drop the tank with the right tools.

I'm green to all of this but I've seen most people keep some sort of access to it. Usually a simple cut out that blends in with the finished floor. I know that if I cover mine up, the unit will need work within a week. Keep an access door and I'll never need to use it. Just how life works. I'm sure more experienced folk have some good ideas.

Here's my 2bits...if the manufacturer put it there then I'd leave operational...maybe hide it under a cabinet...but blending a accessible panel shouldn't be to difficult...

This is not a 15 minute job. When you count the safety cage, frame brackets and hard to get at fittings this is a 2 hour job minimum. And messy. It took me 2.5 hours to do an r/r on mine once. Keep the access panel . On one bus I was able to drop just one side, climb up between the floor and tank to change the sending unit. Looked like I had been crawling around inside an engine. Nasty
