Gettin the 6th on a 30/60

I've heard tales of a 6th gear and an Allison tech. Even told me it was possible. The catch was that i had to get a letter from the engineers at international attesting to the ability off the frame to handle a 6th gear.
Anyone have any experience with this conundrum?
