So Wednesday I had Roxy and Dixie in the truck heading out to Shaun's place to start up the bus and take it for a spin.
About 3 or 4 miles down the road the clutch pedal lost resistance and went spongy.
I was near a good friend's place so I got it to start in first gear and eased it over there.
Slave cylinder had given up and blown out. Got a new one at the parts store by my house for $30. Went over to the truck and got to work swapping them. Was pretty simple but had a few snags like any repair job. One of the pressed in mounting studs spun when I tried tightening the nut, so I had to remove it and use one of the old bolts. Not a bit deal, that's what you get with cheapo parts.
Clutch feels good and got the truck home.
There's one less part to worry about for a while. Gonna order that MC and booster this weekend. And a regular tow hitch to mount on the frame. Its a got a ball/pintle combo but its built into the bumper and its too high for my purposes. I'll have a regular hitch under it so I'll be able to use either.
