Greetings from Oregon...

When's solstice in Florence? Beach trip is definitely in the works. Not in the bus anytime soon tho. It's getting into the mechanic this week.

I would be interested in a get together. Florence is too far south for me. Champoeg is fairly central and right off I5.

to, far from beach for me, i like the coast, and low population.

Champoeg definitely has enough space for a bevy of buses. It would likely be warm there. Still kind of cold for swimming though. It would be nice to meet somewhere where we could actually pull or wagon train into a circle and swap ideas for a while.

I'm flexible. The rest of you guys weigh in on location ideas.

I'm still a newbie, not sure if the bus will be road ready by then. Trying to get it into the mechanic by the end of Friday. Hopefully all she needs is a decent tune up. Hard telling till you actually get into it. Any suggestions or feedback on using local bus yards for mechanical issues/diagnosing? I know Brittan is on I5 here in Albany, haven't called them up yet, wanted to ask what's been other people's take on that aspect. Could possibly make it to Florence, although it wouldn't be in the bus......😳

Brattain would be about the last place I would take anything to be fixed, even if it were under warranty.

You might try Creative Bus Sales in Canby, OR. There is a guy who sublets some space from them who really knows buses.

Any input on insulation? Flooring, roof and side walls? I live in Oregon and it rains quite a bit at times, I wanna be able to keep all water out. The next task at hand is getting the windows sealed up and try to figure out my flooring situation, vapir barrier? Was contemplating on just laying 3/4 plywood down and call it good.

Surprisingly there wasn't any actual insulation. Don't think it was pulled out before cause the original rivets seemed to be holding it together. Luckily there isn't any rust on the ceiling, walls or floor's.
