All of you are so gracious about sharing information. I'm following you to, Robin...I don't want to lose you!Gotta admire that you know what you want. I'v been looking for a short RE for a while. The auction listings aren't always good at reporting length, so you can learn a lot by taking the time to look at lots of buses. Sounds like you have looked already. Yours should be an interesting build.
I saw it. Looks pretty nice. There's a 2002 26' FE with lift on govdeals right now. About 150k on the odometer.
This one is 5 years newer than mine, which also means it's a computerized engine. I don't know your preferences regarding mechanical engines versus computerized engines.
Then I am blessed to have you angels. I sincerely appreciate you all. Thank you so much.Right now I think many of us are following you to try to get you a good bus. It helps to have lots of eyes working for you.
The thing is many of us see good buses that would make good projects, so it's good to bring those to your attention if they fit your criteria. We actually try to help anyone that comes here before they buy a bus. Most people make their purchase and then come here for help. We try to help people with bad bus purchases too, but there's only so much that can be done with a bad bus.
That's not meant to make you feel any less special.
Thank you, Jordan76. Is it my imagination, or do they look wide?Theyre not school buses, but here's a link to few 30' RE Gillig transit buses up for auction in SLC on 12/11. Rust doesn't look too bad, didn't see mileage listed but i bet it's high.

They are the same width as a standard school bus.
