Gutting the inside of bus

How much did you guys take out as far as the skins inside the bus? Should I remove the skins from the very back around the windows and on the back emergency door?

Also, whats the danger in removing the stock insulation? Should I wear like a protective suit?

I don't think everyone does some of those tiny spaces. It's all up to you. I'm going to cover those windows with metal and have some shelves so I'll be insulating them.
Just wear goggles and a mask. No need for a whole suit.

I'm going to have a walled off garage at the back, so I didn't touch the rear wall, but I will have insulated wall between garage and interior

Also, I did not wear a suit for insulation. Mine came out in full sheets though so not as messy. I wore hand, eye, respiratory protection and pants. I even wore a t-shirt and was ok, but I'm in Texas so too hot for sleeves when I did it

If it's fiberglass insulation, remember to wash off with cool to cold water. Hot water will open the pores in your skin and allow the tiny little pieces of fiberglass to get in and cause you to itch.

I have gutted three buses and helped on two others. Have yet to encounter fiberglass insulation.

The insulation in my Bluebird looked like fiberglass to me but turned out to be polyester. No itch.

I'm not sure if I am just lucky or if polyester is the norm.

I gutted my entire bus so i could thicken the side walls and do the interior with wood.
I removed the floor, ceiling panels, wall panels between the windows and the chair rail, the panel above the passenger door, the cabinet above the windshield (which was just full of fiberglass insulation), and the back panels around and above the emergency exit door.

It’s worth noting that in my bus, the window gaskets at the back were mounted to the exterior metal, so I was able to remove the interior wall panel without any window troubles.
