Has anybody ever mounted a freshwater and Brewster tank in the bus?

If you have ever mounted a tank or just have any ideas, I would greatly appreciate if you could share. Any advice on where I should put the tank like inside/outside, front middle or rear of bus, or if it is inside, what piece of furniture or should it be integrated with? If this helps, I will either be going with a bluebird all American rear engine, or a Thomas saftliner c2. Also, feel free to ask questions of your own here. Thanks in advance!

Fresh water inside

I've got my 4 fresh water tanks inside but not the grey water tank, it would make emptying it harder to plumb than I would like

Our 35 gal water tank is midshipped under the bed. Grey tank is under the bus.

We've got a 100 gal. fresh water tank in the base frame of our couch. It's behind the driver's seat. We've got a conventional bus, so it's between the front and rear axles (though much closer to the front) and opposite the fuel tank. We strapped it down and framed in really well, but I doubt we'll be traveling with much water....that could be a lot of weight behind my seat! I assume it would be ideal to have it as close to the center of the bus as possible. Our Brewster tank (that sounds much nicer than Greywater!) is under the bus for ease of plumbing but I think there's someone on here that has it inside the bus.

So, I'm thinking inside on both tanks because of freezing. If not too hard to plumb, would this be better than a tank heater, considering I don't have unlimited solar?

Your grey tank would be far safer and less likely to freeze if you put it inside of the bus.

Unfortunately, getting your shower to drain could present an issue. That whole gravity thing......

Also, solar production is likely to be somewhat limited if you are in a climate where it is cold enough to worry about freezing.

When I was full time in cold climates in would pour some RV antifreeze in the grey tank after dumping.

Worked for me in Minneapolis in February.
