background info, we are up north and got our school bus from up north. It is an 8 widow bus with raised ceilings from being a wheelchair bus. However, back to now time. After ripping up our flooring we have noticed some pretty big sized rust holes. they are also in the framing of our bus as well. We grinded most of the surface rust from the top of our flooring as well as rust converted and painted rustoleum on top of it all to prevent further rusting. The under coat of our bus have been painted over too, so we can't exactly see the full view of what is rusty underneath. however we plan to go under with a wire brush and then rust covert what we can. We have also cut out a good portion of our rust from the areas of conern. We are just trying to figure out with the floor beam frame of our bus rusting and the pretty big rust holes is it worth patching or should we just take out the floors and put in whole new one. if so, how would we go about doing that? has anyone done this before?

Post some pics of your floor, though. I think I've only ever seen one other bus that actually needed to have the floor completely rebuilt. Yours might not be as bad as you think.

Sorry it has been so long. Things have been crazy however, I did grab some pictures for you all. We believe we are gonna have to cut out a large part of our flooring to put new metal beams in and then some U channels. Though, before we begin doing such we are going to take off our undercoat that they placed on previously on top of existing rust. So, we get a better idea.
