Has anyone tried these skylights on Ebay?

Some of the marine hatches, at about $300 each, fit the 24x24 hole with a small bit of adjustment. Apparently they're about 1/8" to wide which can be fixed.

I ordered one from the manufacture earlier this week. Probably will install as soon as I get it. Defiantly will make a video for the YouTube channel doing it.

Maybe, but are they UV stable? If not you gonna have a wet skoolie...

The ad is a bit disingenuous.

Lexan is polycarbonate. Lexan is merely a trade name.

Polycarbonates have a moderate resistance to UV light, but they will all degrade over time. The important bit is "how much time".

A thick poly item will retain its strength for a good many years, and they can be coated to further resist UV light.

Good deal...lexan is really tough stuff...

unless your exit hatches are different than all I've seen before they are 7" too narrow and would require extensive reframing.

The holes from my hatches are 25.5 rib edge to rib edge. The holes that are pre-drilled on the skylight should line up along the first line of rivets. I may have to do some work to get it to seal over the different height in the bus skin, but I think these should fit without any reframing. I've already covered over my hatches with 18ga galvanized sheet. just need to cut a hole for the skylight.

I bought a set of four of these and when they arrived I sent them back because I did not like the way that they distorted the light through them. I’m a little bit picky about light and I didn’t like the way that the bubble shaped the beams of light as they came through the ceiling. I also just sort of didn’t care for the curved bubble look so installed flat Lexan skylight panels. In order for them to work you will have to skin over where the emergency hatch used to be and then cut a new hole to size.

I may be obtuse but I don't see how a 18"x26" poly panel is going to fit a 25"x25" opening without serious reframing.

What part of "I've already covered over my hatches with 18ga galvanized sheet. just need to cut a hole for the skylight." was hard to understand? Shouldn't need any "framing".
