Has anyone used duraplate for their skoolie build?

While researching some ideas for window deletes I ran into one person suggesting the use of duraplate (semi side wall plates).

It got me thinking and looking into the material a bit more, I think I could easily delete windows with it by mounting some L brackets to the backside and screwing it down to the hat channel.

Then I got to thinking a bit more about using it for the inside walls as well, it's already got a glossy white color to it so it'd save me a lot of painting, but my concern would be how difficult of a material it is to work with and if there's any cautionary tale to warn me against using it.

I think it's newish, and duraplate is the proprietary name used by Wabash for their semi truck shells.

It's a composite of high density polyethylene core sandwiched between two galvanized steel sheets. Some say that they've been able to get them free from trucking companies when they tear down a box, I've been able to find them on craigslist for $25 a piece ( 4x8 ) but I can probably talk them down a bit if I buy enough for the whole bus conversion.

Seems like a good material to use, I'm just not sure how easy it would be to work with.

Been in the metal stamping bidness since 1981. Don't think I have ever heard of it. Maybe I'm just a simple uneducated hillbilly.
