Have you been refused entry to a campground?

I traveled 40+ states over 6+ years full time in a nicely converted Eagle 10. I was turned away at a number of RV parks. The first one shocked the **** out of me as I was driving a rig that looked nearly brand new. New siding, paint, raised roof, RV windows etc. I converted a 1980 shell in 1994(?). They looked at the registration and said "sorry no rigs over 10 years old". I started getting a little forgetful at that point. It was converted in '94 then it must be a '94 model....

I was also turned away at a number of parks because my dog was overweight.... I found a number of parks that had weight limits on pets. 25-40 lbs depending on the park. Yapping ankle biters=good. Good natured, well behaved & quiet Golden Retriever=bad....

I had the most issues in the Southwest US. Las Vegas sticks in my mind as probably the worst.

Gotta love Walmart parking lots....

Never stayed at an RV Park, never will (maybe in March for the bus conversion gathering).

Never been turned down for any normal place...SP, private CG, NP, friends back yard.

Harleys, old PU campers, non Harley MCs, MH, bus etc.

I doubt I'll be done by then but it's now a goal!!!

I attended my first bus rally in an empty bus shell with an air mattress, an ice chest and a bucket (for emergencies).

I learned enough from the other busses that I made substantial changes in my conversion plans. That weekend saved me from a number of potential mistakes.

Finished or not I bet it will be worth attending.

Edit: I just googled "Bus Conversions International". I have the suspicion that Mike Katz is involved in the event. Can anyone confirm?

Food for thought

That doesn't sound like a half bad idea ...I'm all in for learning and preventing mistakes.
You just might see me there after all.
