I just bought myself a Thomas-built West-Coaster, in Bellingham, WA. I plan to make it my cozy, functional home. I'm a soon-to-be-gramma, so gotta keep the grandkids in mind as I design this place. I was hoping to have a partner to do this project with, but I'll just have to figure things out myself, and rely on community support when possible.

I'm hopeful that this site will be helpful along the way of this grand new adventure.

Welcome! We have just about all started out from the position above. Just read as many build threads as possible, develop a picture of how you want to use your rig and then the pieces will start to fall into place. You can make it as simple or as complex as you choose and will find examples of both extremes here for guidance. And there are opinions aplenty, so be prepared to filter out what you think will work best for you.

Again...Welcome!

Jaunty,

If there ever was someone to ask, it's Tango. He's a MASTER. I've seen his build first-hand. He has implemented ideas I never would have thought of, let alone attempted. If you come across a sticky point, he's the one to go to!

I'll try to help, but my help probably won't be as helpful.......

Anyways, you have quite a few resources to fall back on.

Welcome to the insanity! (Some of us are insane enough to buy TWO or MORE buses and do this..........)

BTW, I LOVE my Thomas Saf-T-Liner! She's AWESOME!!!!!! I believe you will love yours too!
