Height issue...

Hi! I recently look To build a skoolie, but I have an heigth restriction. I Will soon have à garage with à 9 feet door. Few days ago, I visit an ils skoolie(1986 model) but it was 121" (10'1"). But I think than new models are shorter than this one? Could you confirm me that? I didn't find this spec in any specs sheets. Could you tell me how tall is your skoolie? Cutaway is a van bus. They're shorter height-wise as well as sometimes length.
Most buses are around ten feet tall. Mines 10'6".
Maybe you need a bigger door.

Disregard my suggestion. The longest cutaways are 5 or 6 windows.

To get longer you need a full on bus. I have never seen one under 10' high.

You have a bit of a conundrum. Adjust your bus spec or make the door taller.

Well..... Maybe a third option.......

I helped a gent build a sailboat several years ago. We worked in a metal "pole building".

It became obvious to me early on that the finished boat would not fit out the door...

When the time came to move the boat we carefully dissasembled the back wall, towed the boat out and then reassembled the back wall.

Yes, but the 10' limit is the ceiling of the garage. the only solution I find for the moment is to remove the four wheels, an transport the body with small buggy under wheels hub, I could probably do it for the first construction, and find a storage place for the others winters

What's the garage door height? My bus is right at 119-120". If you let some of the air out of the tires she should fit in.

The garage will be construct this summer!-) But the plan are already draft and it was really hard to deal with the city, so In don't want to modify it!-)
The door will be 9' tall but I could plan a removable panel upside the door. But the ceiling will be at 10' with a garage door few inch below (when door open)

When I built this house I made sure I built it with a 10' ceiling with floor trusses above so no obstructions i the floor plan other than a staircase coming from upstairs. I added another section to the top of the garage door. I could back my G30 van, race car trailer and race car into my basement. My plan was to put a lift in the basement.

In fact I don't have the bus for the moment, I'm just starting shopping, so I wonder if there is model near 9', 9'6", it will help me to be more selective in my shopping!-)

Maybe someone that has a bus with the shorter tires can chime in on their height. But I doubt you'll find any in a full size bus.
