hi guys. another newbie here, but this is not my first rodeo, as me and my good lady were members of the sbmcc in the uk, and have converted a ford transit panel van, with real good results.
i am planning a new project, i need to find a decent size bus, and remove all but 2 seats to use for a cross country move 3000 miles, and also something that i can put a hitch on to tow my ford escape as well.
i took a look today at a 1997 international with the 7.3 and a 3 speed auto, but the tranny oil smelled burned, so i walked away.
i am going to look at a freightliner 2003 with a merc. engine and a thompson body, and 3 speed auto. so come on, there must be someone out there who has had dealings with this combo, so what's the good, bad and ugly?
all the best. steve.

The MB engine. If you can find another Freightshaker with a Cummins, go with that.
