Hey everyone, I'm Chase. I live and work in Franklin, Tennessee. I've been following Skoolie builds online and on YouTube over the last year and a half and have wanted to take the dive into converting one myself. I recently found out that my company is restructuring my position out of existence at the end of May and instead of being stressed about it I decided now is a better time than ever to buy a bus and start my conversion.

I'm heading just north of Nashville tomorrow to buy a Thomas Saf T Liner that I've been looking at over the last month and intend to start the conversion process immediately.

I plan to work full time on my conversion, after May 31st, and the goal is to be completed by October of this year so I can hit the road with my girlfriend and two dogs.

I look forward to researching past threads before asking questions as I know most if not all topics have been covered many times, but I will gladly accept critiques and shared information for better or more preferred ways of doing things along my conversion build.

The Saf-T-Liner does have a high roof. I have one myself and I'm 6'2". I have serious headroom.

As I said ... most do, but not all of them :)

There is at least one well-known to the FB Saf-T-Liner Group that has a standard height ceiling, and I saw a few when I was looking.

I wonder if it’s from the same dealer who sold us ours?

We are just north of you near Portland Tennessee and I work down near Nashville

Thanks for the welcome wishes everyone. We're excited. The bus was NOT a high top, but I've got enough room to work with. The drive home was remarkable and I got to put it through every type of scenario Nashville could throw at me, besides snow.

It really might be the same dealer. It was in Hendersonville. We got Metropolitan Nashville bus 04-59. We'll connect with you on Instagram.

Yeah that’s the same dealer

We were able to talk the price down quite a bit from asking price

If you have any questions definitely let us know. We’ve just about finished insulation, roughing in our wiring and subflooring.

Hopefully we will be installing the finished ceiling, walls and flooring in the next few weeks.
