Hello everyone. Some friends and I bought a 1986 Chevy full sized bus this past July. Just something bigger to fit friends, bikes, food and trek across the U.S.

We are pretty good carpenters and engineers but are lacking electrical knowledge. I have some experiences wiring houses but need some guidance with wiring a battery bank and all that goes into bus electricity.

I want to be able to charge phones, computers and cameras, run a flat screen, Air conditioning unit and refrigerator. We are wanting to put some solar panels on it eventually and have a direct plug in. If someone could help me that would be awesome?:Thanx:

Howdy fellow Houstonian engineer. There are a lot of skoolie folk here in the greater Houston area.

Just a note about the electricity, you're not gonna be able to run an air conditioner for any length of time on batteries.

Take a look around at some of the build threads. There are a few electrical threads too. Also read up on RV electrical safety. I prefer to use google to search the skoolie forums.
