Hello my name is Justin.
I am an filmmaker and mechanical enthusiast. So it was only natural for me to buy a school bus with the intentions of turning it into a livable mobile studio. I started planning my studio with the idea of purchasing a Step Van until I learned that I would not be able to hold as much weight and would not have the strength of a Skoolie.
I am 6 foot 2 inches and I did not want to crouch. When I found this 2007 Freightliner FS65 Thomas Short Bus as BGA Bus Sales I fell in the love with the 6 foot 3 ceiling height. The icing on the cake was the Mercedes Benz MBE924 4.3L Turbo Diesel engine. The bus had 239,000 miles on it.
I bought the bus in March of 2020. I immediately started working on it recording everything I did. I recently started blogging my progress. I think it is only fitting to come on this forum and discuss my progress so far. Thank you for reading and I will post more stories here. Ask me anything as I gather my information to post more here.
