Hello!

I've been interested in tiny houses since college. I originally was going to buy a camper trailer after I graduated college and be a roaming biologist. I graduated during the recession. It didn't work out. I worked at sea for a few years and came back doing wildland firefighting. I'm back to the tiny house idea after 2 years of bunkhouses and a summer renting for the first time since college, but since I sold my truck that could pull a trailer and am down to a little Jeep Patriot, I'm thinking a Skoolie that can pull my car would be best of both worlds! I already have a Commercial Class B driver's license, no air brakes, but getting that restriction removed this summer.

I don't have a bus yet or anything planned out, but hoping to learn a lot from everybody so I can maybe get this rolling next fall when I'm not crazy busy with work! I work in Idaho in the summer, but will likely try to do the renovations at my parent's house in Kansas because my dad has a ton of tools and experience doing renovations and have an RV of their own.

Thanks!

Rachel

Hello, You don't need an air brake endorsement to drive an RV or Motorhome. As long as the title says RV or Motorhome. Get a Western bus with at least a MT643 Automatic and a brake retarder on it. Or a manual tranny with a brake retarder. You will love your Skoolie.
