Hello
Just bought a 02 GMC Savana cut away with a 14 pass Thomas body.

Plan to convert it to a RV/long tripmobile

Anyway,just saying hello
Bob

Welcome Bob

You talk like you've done this before. What bus number is this for you?

First bus. I do however have a history of making things I can’t afford out of stuff that I can. I have a 94 class A that we decided to retire after last season to scavenge parts from And I’ve done a bunch of research so.....

Planning on staying fairly basic. Insulation Toilet kitchenett fold down bed and a rooftop ac . There’s a hot shower everywhere we drive the RV so I’m skipping the shower.

A little update

I’m a happy camper today. I have fixed the fuel leaks and got the that all back together and finally got to do something in the back. YAY!!! I got all the seats and the safety cushion things dismounted. As soon as I find a place for the seats n stuff I’ll start ripping the floor up.

I’ll have one of my kids set up a picture account next time their here so I can post some picks.

For those who can’t wait for pics, close your eyes and imagine the cross between a big army truck and a hippiefied VW bus. Now, chances are what your imagining is at least 8 and 1/2 per cent better looking than the real thing.:biggrin::biggrin:

I didn’t do it, honest. I bought it from a small private elementary school and the students either painted it or came up with the paint scheme. Looking at the bus is supposed to be like looking at a aquarium complete with fish plant life and a big eel or snake I’m not sure on that.

Elementary students are very creative, their also horrible at prepping for paint. Peeling, flaking everywhere.

EZ fix but will be the last thing I do.

it Ain’t pretty. The artwork is good it’s a shame they didn’t sand anything. Little yellow spots everywhere and more appearing all the time. I’m painting it white, but the exterior paint will be the last of the build. Function over form, once I get stuff where I want it and working I’ll worry about pretty.

Welcome, Bob.

No, we can't wait for your children to set-up an account.:nonono:

  • Take the pictures with your phone set in a normal resolution (not high), turn it so it is sideways and snap the photo.
  • Log in here while on that phone and lick the paperclip ^^^^
  • Manage Attachmanets will pop-up (pop-up blocker off, allow).:nonono:
  • Navigate and upload the pics.
  • Wait.:campfire:
  • Go back to your Message & have the cursor in your document where you want the pic to show-up.
  • Hit the little arrow by paperclip to see the pics you uploaded:sick:
  • Click the one you want to insert.:wink1:
  • it will say something like
    Code:
    [ATACH]18829[/ATACH]

  • hit the preview:eek:
  • Submit. You must Submit. And Obey.:bow::bow:

Some adults paint like that too. :nonono:

I’ll try this evening. I thought you HAD to have a Photobucket or Flicker account to post pics. Thanks

Thanks Rusty!!! My problem has been resizing. I can’t figure out how to adjust the resolution on my phone (iPhone 6) Every time I tried to use pics straight from my computer they were way too big.

not sure about your phone. but a quick fix everyone can do on their computer is open the picture in paint and hit the "resize" button and hit anywhere from 20%-50% on all sizes equally and it'll decrease the amount of data is uses up too. then just hit "save as" so you dont overwrite the original copy and you're good to go.

There is a tiny learning curve to getting the pictures up here, but it pales in comparison to bus ownership .:whistling:

I don't iphone, but found this: How to change your iPhone video resolution settings | TechRadar

Interweb resizers: https://www.thebalance.com/free-photo-resizers-1357016

The thing about resolution is: The higher resolution images are great for printing pictures (essential), but makes the file larger and slower to load.

Reducing the iphone resolution is fabulous for the Internet, but if you print those lower resolution photos, quality will suffer.

The ideal is to take the higher quality pics and save them. Make a lower-resolution version for posting.

Cropping a photo is a great way to show the detail and get a faster loading photo.

Please do not forget to go back to High-resolution pics for Daughter's wedding, etc.
