So, I'm in the process of buying a coach bus to convert so I can move cross country.

Specifically an MCI 102-A2, I know the pros and cons vs the A3 or even a school bus, but I think overall it's a better fit for me

Figure this is a good forum to join for when I inventively need help/support.

Thanks.

Uhm, well.
My Husband and I bought our first house a few years ago.
It wasn't exactly what I wanted, but I've settled in fairly well.
But it turns out he isn't happy here.

So, about 6 months ago we committed to moving out to BC.

We both work from home, so as long as we have reliable internet (starlink) we're good to go.

I haven't worked on coach buses, but I have some school bus, heavy equipment, and plenty of general automotive experience, so I expect to be doing all the work myself.

I've bean looking (more and more seriously) for a 40' bus to convert over the last three months. I unfortunately missed a couple good deals. But I'll be looking at a 1987 MCI 102-A2 tomorrow.
I'll be verifying everything of course but I've talked to the seller, and if everything he said is correct I'll be buying it tomorrow.

So, the plan is to convert that over the winter, pile all our crap ontop, and drive out west. After getting out there I'll be putting a lot of our stuff in storage and I'll start looking for some property to buy. But I expect to live out of the bus for a couple years, and probably do months long tripos with it after that.
