Just wanted to say hello to everyone. Been a member for a couple of years now and enjoying all the posts. A lot of great info to be had here.
With that said, I am working on a project that you may or may not be interested in. It is and isn't a skoolie. I am working on marrying a discarded school bus body to a Class 8 truck. It is a drawn out process that has been going on for a while now. If anyone is interested I will try to keep you up on what is happening. Let the comments fly. :hide:

There are some early pictures in the photo section in the album titled Strange Marriage. Mostly working on the truck now when I get a break from the everyday toils.

The hood isn't long enough to sit over the deuce diesel without a fairly big doghouse. The shifter comes through the floor in the wrong spot.

There's just a few issues.

That sounds cool, you should post some pictures of the build process!

Thanks. I have a few in the album in the photo section. Working on the truck right now when I get a little time. It will be a few months before I am ready to start with the body. I'll try to keep adding photos as I go.

That's exactly the kind of build I'd LOVE LOVE LOVE to see!
Bring it on, man!
I've often dreamed of a school bus with a Cat 3406 and around 400hp.:wink1:

Don't see too many Whites on the road these days!

Thanks ECCB. Always had a soft spot in my heart for the short nose Road Boss. When I found this one on Craigslist about 6 years ago I couldn't pass it up. I originally had other plans for the truck but then I found the bus body and a little light clicked on in my pea brain and I thought, why not. After seeing all the great projects on this site I said, go for it, so the build is on.

The Cat 3406 would be a dream engine for a Bus. Wish that's what I had but I won't complain about the Detroit.

Been watching your projects evolve and sorry to hear about your engine problem but just hang in there and you will prevail. It probably wont be as bad to fix as you expect and when done you are going to have a great bus. Just keep the faith.

Thanks a lot man.
I'll be passing Jimmies and Whites once its done!

I just LOVE the sound of a 2 stroke Detroit!
There was a member here who was swapping a 6V into a school bus, I can't recall if they finished it.
